|Douglas G. Wilson, Jr.
A Marine and Viet Nam veteran, Doug Wilson majored in English Literature at Georgia State University where he also completed his Master’s in Healthcare Administration. He went on to make a career of reviving struggling hospitals around the United States. More recently he led the start-up and growth of two new healthcare technology companies. Doug now serves as Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Benefits Association and Catholic Insurance Company.
Vice President, CIC
During his 23 years working in customer service and account management with Aetna, Jason Coon implemented a personal sales approach in his departments, helping to grow the innovative technology sales business. He is a graduate from Charter Oak State College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. As the first Vice President of the Catholic Insurance Company, Jason is using his brand experience to help CIC develop a portfolio of uniquely Catholic healthcare services for CBA member employers.
A seasoned financial expert, William Baird spent 18 years working for Alex Brown and its successor companies, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank. After studying Business Administration and earning a MBA at Loyola University, Bill served as Managing Partner of Brown Advisory Securities before joining the Archdiocese of Baltimore as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Management Services. In addition to his duties at the archdiocese, he now serves as Treasurer of Catholic Benefits Association and Catholic Insurance Company.
Director of Communications
Katy graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a bachelor’s in Theology. Her passion for communications and customer relations came from her time working for Catholic News Agency where she became inspired by the late Pope John Paul II’s call for an ongoing “new evangelization” of the world. Katy began working for the CBA as Office Manager and Executive Assistant where she soon learned to manage more than her day-to-day responsibilities. Katy has helped establish key communication protocols and strategies to help the CBA better serve and interact with it’s membership.
Nancy Matthews is a graduate of Smith College and an honors graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is the retired Chancellor of the Diocese of Bridgeport, Conn. She has served Catholic Benefits Association and Catholic Insurance Company as Corporate Secretary and Membership Director since their inception in 2013.
|L. Martin Nussbaum
Martin Nussbaum graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Theology. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas School of Law. He is co-chair of the Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie Religious Institutions Group which focuses exclusively on serving and advocating for religious institutions. He works as the General Counsel for Catholic Benefits Association and Catholic Insurance Company.
